Two Cubed

Two Cubed by Quinapalus

diagram

The diagram shows the eight subcubes of a 2x2x2 cube. One digit, either a zero or a one, is to be entered in each subcube.

The cube contains six planes of four subcubes each, which we shall label Up, Down, Left, Right, Front and Back. The digits in each plane can be read as a four-digit binary number by starting in one of the four component subcubes and proceeding clockwise or anticlockwise. The clues given below refer to one possible reading of each plane. For example,

0 1
0 0

could be 1, 2, 4 or 8;

0 1
1 0

could be 5 or 10.

No plane is composed entirely of zeros.
